The Manzano Spirit Squad

Under the direction of Vanessa Whitaker (Spirit Coordinator), Leanne LeCompte (Majestix Coach), Melinda Sedillo (Cheer Coach), Lindsey Oliver (JV Head Coach), and Kerry Shank (JV Assistant Coach) the Manzano Spirit Squad consists of a very talented group of Varsity Cheerleaders, JV Cheerleaders, and the Majestix Dance Team.

Membership on the Spirit Squad offers cheerleaders and dancers a unique opportunity for personal growth, leadership, and involvement in diverse activities. The attitude, dedication, and enthusiasm of the squad members are just as important as the skills involved in spirit leading. Members of the Spirit Squad are committed to the highest level of athletics, performance, self-discipline, and respect for the school and other, personal exemplary conduct and the performance of all responsibilities related to the pursuit of school spirit and pride. Furthermore, Spirit Squad members demonstrates a proven ability to balance academic requirements and demands with extra-curricular and personal activities.

The Manzano Spirit Squad takes great pride in supporting all sporting events and school activities equally. They are actively involved in community service, and regularly participate in competitions all while maintaining the highest combined GPA in the school.
